Title: Automatic Transmission leaking fluid only in reverse??!
Post by: GHOSTOWLGRID on December 20, 2015, 01:06:04 PM
1990 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.1L V6 Turbo, 4 SPD Auto

AAMCO did a transmission rebuild for me, but now a week or two later its leaking out where the driver side axle plugs in.

It only leaks in reverse, no leaking in drive.

When it leaks, it really leaks, like a river.

Is this something that can be fixed easily myself? Or am I stuck taking the car back for them to fix my transmission?

Sounds more like an assembly issue.  If it's only in reverse and it's pouring out, something is probably moving around in there.  Either way, You should bring it back to them.
