Hey guys this is weird I know the problem with the gauge lights staying on is common, I have this problem. However today i was cleaning out my car as i stole it back from my mother and i had it running with the radio on and heat on cause its cold out lol..well anyway i took her for a spin and guess what?...the dash lights were off..they didnt come back on!!!..butt as i pulled back into my driveway they came back on :(..strange no?
Mine used to do that. I resoldered them and the gauges light goes on and off. The low fuel light stays off but it also don't work. It does work on the hud display though.
my old 90 le had the check guages/ low fuel prob. when you leave the heat on it warms up the inside of the dash causing the connections to expand as if everything was ok.. (by the way this is why the problem exists in the first place. so when the dash cools down the connection breaks and the lights come back on.
