I have another problem yet i need to fix on my list of to do's after my mom stole my car. The parking brake wont even work. I remember when i stepd on it i heard like a clicking sound like hand cufs...now i step on it and it just drops down..no clicking and no parking break...whats up with that?

How old are your brake pads? Mine started that a week or two ago. Now my brake indicators are squealing. Maybe the caliper is out as far as it goes.

Sounds like the parking brake mechanism is gummed up. You will need to spray some lube/cleaner like wd40 to loosen up the ratchet under the dash. If that doesn't work you have other problems down the line.
