Title: Aftermarket Stereo and Antenna Signal Cable
Post by: visusens on February 09, 2003, 06:05:09 PM
I now have an aftermarket radio installation going and I am having trouble unhooking the antenna cable from the junction at the antenna mast, and the connection under the kick panel as well. Is it just a pull apart connect or is it some sort of twist type removal. I do not want to break this thing and have to do a new connection. Any help is appreciated :)

They should just pull apart.

Yeah, they do pull apart, but it seems like it won't.  I changed mine last year, the mast got broken and I bought a replacement.  Actually, that brings up a question.  Ever since I changed the antenna, sometimes i hear a popping sound through the stereo, even when the volume is all the way down.  Think it's the deck?  Or the antenna?
