Title: ABS pump relay
Post by: florida_tgp on February 14, 2003, 12:00:15 PM
Where is the relay for the ABS pump located, what do i have to remove to get at it?
i am getting occasional ABS light, and know the pump is failing to run when this happens. Jeff M talked about taking it apart and cleaning contacts.

The relay on mine was underneath the PM III unit. If you unbolt the heatshield and move it around you might be able to get to it.

The relay Jeff was talking about is located in front of the drivers shock tower, and behind the windshield washer reservoir, under a black cover that says something about ABS fuses& relays as I remember

I'm pretty sure Jeff meant the pump relay on the PMIII itself, since its the pricey one. The solenoid relays are standard 30 amp automotive relays.
