Someone punched the driver side window out of my TGP.  Anyway...Not only did it cost $200 to replace, it did permenant damage. It somehow bent the front track, and we couldn't get it bent back right at the window shop. So the window only rolls down 1/2 way. Then, glass fell down in the lower seatbelt retracter, so that dosent work. Also broke the plastic trim piece behind the handle.
Add insult to injury, the window must give the door integrity. I opened the door, and it "fell" about 1/4 inch. The pins are bent, so besically i need a new door. Sorry to post such bad news, but hopefully it will get people to keepo these cars in the garage.
P.S. Window guy told me rear triangle windows are around $750 or more if broken....whew!
Yup..and those tracks are a bear to replace. I had to do them both in my first 90 LE..cause they were shot. The window would always slip out of the track. Course I rolled that car and samashed most of the windows anyway. Anyway...the TGP I just bought has had both the front windows smashed once. How can you tell? Well the doors are filled with glass...and the front track is missing on the driver's door. :( Also...all the windows are tinted but the door windows...so it must've been done after the tint was applied. Also, there is some glass in one of the seat-belt retractors on the TGP..so I'll have to tear that down and clean it out. :(
