My dad has a BMW 5 series, I can't remember which one, but its has 235/45 17s.  Those tires look nice, and they are pretty low profile.  I was thinking of getting a set of those for my car, they would def look nice, but I'm not sure if they would fit w/out rubbin.

A general rule to follow that works most of the time is to drop the profile by ten for every inch you increase the rim size.  This doesn't always work but most of the time it's a safe place to start.  For example, if you have a 16 inch rim with 245/50ZR16 tires and you want to go to 17 inch rims you would buy a 245/40ZR17 tire.  The best bet is to call a shop or you can go to http://www.tirerack.com and use their Upgrade Garage to find plus sized tires that will work for your car.

they where about $1400 w/ wheels and tires and all the goodies. I got them at Discount tire. mine are konig Tantrum 5x115 35mm offset 17x8". I am very happy w/ these dunlop tires. they seem to stick very well and as long as i rotate them every oil change they have good life.
Compare your stock w/ the new size here:
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html My tires will be about ~5% off. the calcualtor i liked shows you the exact dimention differences.

Nice ride monte. They look soooo much better when you rip of the side molding. It really smooths out the lines.

I got the rs6 in 235-45-17.  The are smaller than the tgp stockers.  If you can look at 18's.   I have more wheel gap. So I am gonna have to lower it.  Look in my yahoo pics section you can see the wheels good.
