They both don't work. The bulbs are good. Could this be caused by a bad turn signal switch?
I hate to suggest the obvious but have you checked the fuse? I can't remember if they go through the same fuse or not but it's worth a try.
Brake lights yes, reverse lights no
DO the tail lights work? If not could be a ground issue
The reverse lights are switched through the P/N switch in the trans and feed from an ignition source
Brake lights feed from a constant source. I don't remember if the turn signal switch can affect brake lights ona gp or not since they have seperate turn signals

Last year my turn signals weren't working. I never got around to changing the switch, but they started blinking again anyway. I did however notice that I had no lights in the rear when the lights weren't working, although there was power to the wires, but I don't remember checking the reverse lights.

IIRC the brake lights are affected by the turn signal switch. The 3rd brake light is not though.
The tail lights do work.
So.. let me ask you guys this..
I have no backup lights at all.. Would this be cause of a fuse or from the 5 speed swap?
I have to get the car inspected before I can register it, and I have a feeling that's one of the items their gonna check.
check the 15 amp fuse for the trunk release. That is what was wrong with mine. It's under the hood on the right side.
Hmm.. my trunk release don't work either.. So I will look in to that. Thanks!
The trunk release and the backup lights are both run through the P/N switch on the tranny that Chris mentioned in his post. When I got my TGP, the trunk release didn't work. The cause was that switch on the tranny. I replaced it and it works fine now. :)
