I bought a DIC and installed it on my 91 GP I got the wiring definitions here:

Everything worked OK except for the fuel, in the page it says pin #B6 is for the fuel sender input (purple) I took it directly from the trunk but the DIC always says Chek Fuel when I press the range button.

Also the average speed is always around 128 mph which is insane, I took the speed sensor signal from the tranny.

Hope someone can help me out.

I have a 91 Grand Prix 3.1 I installed a Cone air filter and two Flowtech Raptor mufflers, an APC aluminum wing(doesn't help in the 1/4 mile) and I took it for a test at the 1/4 mile and it did 18.80 at 63mph :evil: ! here in Guadalajara we are at 1500 meters (don't know how much it is in feet). I was thinking on making other mods, but this gives me second toughts.

The engine and tranny are fine it doesn't smoke or shake or anything. Is this normal?

which mods do you guys recomend to improve this? the guys in www.naparts.com have a hypertech chip and thermostat but I don't know if it'll do any good.

I had the same problem and I couldn't find out why until one day I pulled out the battery terminals which looked clean on the out side, when I pulled them out, there was like thoot paste coming out of the battery, so I cleaned it up and it was solved. If this doesn't work try to check the idle rpm sensor at the trottle body.

I don't have anything to trade but I gathering turbo parts if you want to sell your intercooler let me know.

I have a 3.1 91 GP and since I bought it the cruise control didn't work at all. I don't know much about cruise controls except the basics, anyway,  the fuse is ok and I checked the two vacum lines on the actuator the "thiner" line has vacum but the "thicker" one has none I don't know if it's supposed to have vacum from the line or from the actuator or none, I tried to follow the thicker line to check for leaks but it gets lost in the harness and I don't want to rip it apart until I know this is the problem.

  I hope some of you guys know about this.

Do you know what does the ECM on te TGP controls in the turbocharger system?

I've read it controls de wastegate solenoid but i don't know if it's true or if it controls something else. Honestly, if it only controls the wastegate I'd rather install a mechanic wastegate and a performance chip to install the whole ECM and connections to te solenoid.

I have a 1991 3.1 non turbo GP and I want to swap in the turbo parts form a 89 or 90 TGP (turbo, pipes, exhaust, intercooler, etc.) So if any of you guys have any of this parts laying arround in your garage and want to sell them, please, let me know.

Well it seems to be hard to find this parts but I managed to find a garrett ditribuitor here in Guadalajara, Mexico and a company which makes custom intercoolers so I have narrowed my search only for the exhaust manifolds downpipe, crossover, etc.

by the way, I read that the turbo GP is equipped with the garrett t25 turbo but in the garrett's web page (www.egarrett.com) I only found a gt25 turbo, is it the same model or is it different? is there any other model that could work with the 3.1 engine?

I have a 1991 grandprix se that I recently buyed and it came with one or two problems that I havent been able to solve yet, hope some of you guys know how. please have in mind that I live in Mexico and the gp was not available in this country until 1997 and dealers refuse to service import vehicles, but I can somehow buy replacement parts.

1. the fuel meter works ok, but the low fuel warning light wont turn off   even with a full tank, this also causes the check gauges light to turn on, I have already tried to disconnect all the wires at the fuel tank from inside the trunk, but this didn't solve the problem.

2. the previous owner told me that the car was equiped with keyless entry but the remote broke and was trown away. How do I know for sure if it is equiped with this system? are there any other remotes from other cars that will work with mine?

3. when I turn off the car and close the doors and I stay inside the vehicle I can hear after afew seconds a "click" sound coming from inside the door pannels just like if the door locks where trying to engage, but they don't. Does anyone know what is this sound?
