For Sale / Want to Buy / Looking for center console top!

I have one! Make me an offer if you are interested. I need the DIC out of it but am going to keep the existing console.

Are you talking about the door that opens or the top of the console itself?

Could it be bad gas?
Just this past September I went and filled up my tank with some 93 octane and drove about 3 miles home. Next day, started it up and only got about 1/4 mile before it quit. To make a long story short, the gas I had gotten was about 1/3 water :x  I drained the tank and filled up with some good gas and luckily it was fine.

Performance / New 1/4 mile times

Well after only 2 weeks of having this car running with boost, we went to the track again yesterday. My son ran the car and last week his best time was a 15.04. We thought the car had more in it so this week he made only two runs, both in the 14's. One was 14.84 and his best was a 14.819 @ 92.72 mph. We've still got some K&N filters on order and some spark plugs to change but so far that Jeff M chip seems to be doing it's job :D I'm sure this is easily a mid 14 second car.

Took the car to the track Saturday. It ran a best of 15.042 @ 91.90. Was shooting for high 14's, so close but not quite. I was pretty happy for a car that 1 week ago would have had trouble making it to the end of the 1/4 mile at all! I don't think it will take much work to get into the 14's.

Well guys, I found the problem!! :D  I know that you won't believe it   but it was a PLUGGED CAT!!!!!!  I dropped the exhaust and took it for a spin and all my boost was back!  Thanks for the help, the car has not run this good as long as I have owned it.

By no boost I mean that when I punch it the guage on the dash never registers higher than 0. It moves, but is always in the negatives and there is very little power. To add a little bit of history here, before this happened I was having what seemed like the exact opposite problem and if I punched it the car would fly up to about 40mph and then loose all boost until I let off the gas.

Thanks for the input guys. I checked all the connections and everything looks OK. I am going to drop the cat next and then check the other things in Chris A's post.

My TGP has no boost and I can't figure out why. The turbo and wastegate assembly are brand new and in good working order, I replaced the boost control solenoid, I checked all connections. Does anybody have any ideas?

Problems & Solutions / Sudden Boost loss

It's the stock guage. Like I said I don't know how accurate it is. Until I found this site I had no idea what the maximum boost was supposed to be.

Problems & Solutions / sudden boost loss

I recently purchased a 90 TGP that does the same thing. It goes pretty good until I get on it really hard. When the guage gets up to about 12 lbs. of boost (don't know how accurate it is) the car suddenly loses power and the boost guage drops into the negative boost range. I have to back way off on the pedal before it will go again. The car has 102,000 miles on it and seems to have been well maintained. Does anybody know what this could be? I am new to these turbo cars.  Thanks.
