Red brake light is on...i can hear the pump running properly...about for 40 seconds.  I have not bled the brakes yet.....would that cause the brake light to stay on?

Thanks for the help

How do I? / serious power steering problem
April 28, 2003, 09:06:59 PM
Well, I learn from my mistakes I guess......I was losing power steering fluid out of the high pressure outlet on my pump.  It was coming out between the nut and the steel pipe.  So I figured I'd order myself another hose and take the old one out and replace it....well I got the hose and took my master cylinder out to get to the other side of the hose where the gearbox is at and i couldnt get that **** nut loose, so i stripped it....then i decided to just cut the line and get at it with a box wrench...I did that and then I got the nut loose.

It was the wrong dang hose!!!!!!

I cut my freakin low pressure hose!!!!  (The real long one that loops around to the front of the engine).

I got myself another hose, now how the heck am i going to get it in there without contorting it out of whack?

Could I just put a cooler somewhere instead of breaking my arms trying to re-thread this non-bendable hose??????

Any ideas???   I just earned myself an extra 5 hours of work cause I cut the wrong hose......I hate myself right now.....

Sorry Chris I did that w/o your consent.

Your site was extremely helpful in the process of replacing the m/c.

I'll update my e-bay listing if u like and put on there where I got the pic, or I can remove it if u rather have me do that.

Again, sorry bout that.

I took the cruise unit out to get my master cylinder out, and found a rubber hose by the turbo comepletly charred up and craked open.  Where does this hose go to so I can replace it?  Is it a very hard job (don't forget I will have the master cylinder out so maybe it will be easier?)

This unit is the one I pulled from my car when I put the rebuilt unit from prior in.  I know it has a bad accumulator.  It has no leaks and the ABS part of it is functioning properly.  It's got a $100 starting bid at ebay to cover the money I would have gotten by returning it to prior.  I figured I might offer this to the TGP community to see if anyone might be interested in it.

I will post some pictures of it later today.

Any questions just reply to this and I'll be happy to answer them best I can.

You can bid on it on ebay:
