For Sale / Want to Buy / WTB: NICE TGP
February 01, 2008, 06:55:28 PM
Hey guys its been a long time since I've been on these boards.  I sold my TGP back in 2005 and well I still miss it to this day.  I wish I would have never sold it.  I would like to find another one that runs.  If it needs paint so what as long as its not rusted up and full of dings.  I'm going to have about $1000 to spend on one.  I know thats not a lot but I sold mine for $900 bucks with a freshly rebuilt trans and a new turbo sitting on the passenger side floor board.  If you have one or know of one for sale please please let me know.  My email is teamsimplyxtreme@yahoo.com.  Thanks Bryan

I have a running 1991 Cheverolet S-10 that I would trade you for it.  I want a black TGP to go along with my red one.  I hate to see TGP's destroyed or parted out seeing as how they are rare.

Hey sorry I haven't gotten back to you if you look at this anymore.  I want to trade you my TGP for your Jimmy but since the last time we spoke the luck with my TGP has gone downhill.  To make it run now it needs a new turbo, fuel pump, and complete tune up.  I'm sure this is more than you would like to have to do.  I only have one pic of the car it at www.hollywoodmotorsports.5u.com under the pics page.  Let me know what you think or don't think seeing as how I only have limited use of a computer right now.

Performance / Tranny issues
May 19, 2004, 11:25:40 PM
I'm puzzled     The only thing I can think of is to check all the connections on the trans sensors to make sure your getting good contact.  Otherwise I don't know what to tell ya.  Are you throwing any SES codes?

Check and see if one of the front calipers is leeking.  My friend had the same thing happening in his truck and his drivers side front caliper was leaking slowly through the bleeder.  It wasn't enough to make a spot on the ground though but it was still leaking out.

If the master cylinder is out I say screw the PMIII system and yank it out and go find a normal system out of an LE in the junkyard somewhere.

Mine does the same thing now and then.

TGP vs. All / TGP > MR2

no one says there's anything wrong with having a little fun once in a while.  Might want to put some clamps on those lines from the throttle body or replace them.  I know how you feel though my car is in hiding right now too.  It's currently insuranceless and hasn't been drivin in a couple of weeks.

according to Kelley Blue Book your car is worth $2.530 with 50,000 miles and in excellent condition.  So I would say if its as nice as you say it is $4,000 max like everybody else says.

General / What Is Better
April 30, 2004, 04:53:57 PM
My front seats in the TGP are ripped in a couple of spots.  Would it be better for me to go ahead and have them re-done or should I go ahead and put some racing buckets in like I've been wanting to.  I don't plan on getting rid of this car ever so what would be in my best interest to do for the long run?

It would be in everybodys best interest on this site if you posted up some pics of the car.  The guys on here will go great distances to pick up very good cars.  Also give us a price range you are looking for.  It defeats the game of beating around the bush.

Is it a 2 or 4 door?  I'm definetly interested.  Post your email on here or send me one shugtxturbo@hotmail.com I have a 1990 Red Tan interior that is in pretty good shape.  However right now it needs a fuel pump.  I drive the damn thing everywhere though and never have problems.  Just the typical normal TGP stuff.  I would definetly have to see pics before I could make a decision though.

Well it looks like with my income tax return I'm going to be replacing the pump then.  I guess I won't drive it very far until my LeBaron gets its new trans on monday then I can park it till I can get my welboro pump.  I will take pictures for all of you with my digital.  I hear its a real pain in the ass to drop the damn tank though.  The way things have been going for me with this car I'm not gonna call it a car anymore I'm going to call it my mini investment.  I've paid more for fixing the damn thing than I paid for the car itself.  But hey what good muscle type car isn't gonna cost you some benjamins?  :D
