Slick on w-body.com is working on putting together enough people to get Lotek (same guys that make them for the Gen II w-bodies) to make a 3-gauge a-pillar pad.  These will only work on the '88 - '93 style interior, which means we're in, guys!  Thought I'd post it up here since I figured there would be a few TGP owners that would be interested in pillar pods.  :icon_wink:

If you want to be added to the list, and aren't already a member over there, let me know and I'll tell him to add you.

Are you buying Kenny's old 5-speed that's on Milwaukee Craigslist??  Fender won't be too hard to find at all around here.  A TGP hood and front bumper cover on the other hand will be a weeeeeee bit more difficult.

SOLD  :icon_frown:

Bittersweet day.  At least the guy is going to keep it in one piece.  Has a maroon TSTE, too.  I told him about this site, and he was pretty interested, so hopefully he signs up.

I hate you, Matt.  I really, really do.

No, seriously.  I do!  :icon_eek:

Give me that McLaren badge!!  Man, that last overhead shot of the TGP would have been AWESOME for the ClubGP calendar.  Maybe it's not too late to shove it in there!! J/K  Seeing threads like this just makes it harder to go through with selling the turbos.  :icon_frown:  Of course, seeing one that perfect also makes it harder for me not to take a sledge hammer to mine.

Only 1.5 days left!  No windy city area TGPs?  :icon_frown:

The mileage is not very high for an 18 year old car, and the rust is extremely minimal.  The ONLY rust on the exterior is that spot behind the rear passenger wheel (extremely common on the w-bodies).  Then there is some surface rust in a few spots in the door jams.  Interiorwise, other than the headliner, it's not in bad shape at all.  Anyway, considering what I've seen parts McLarens go for (which this is far from), I don't think it's out of line.  And quite frankly, if it won't go for that much, then as much as I'd HATE to do this to a TSTE, I'd part it out next spring.  I can't take a bigger hit than what I'm already taking at $800.

Congratulations on your purchase!  Welcome to the love/hate relationship that is the ownership of a TGP.

Unfortunately, Jeff seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth.  Haven't heard from him in quite some time, and no one seems to be able to get a hold of him.  Hope nothing bad happened to him.  :icon_eek:  His chips pop up used for sale from time to time on here, as well as the w-body forum.  He has several different stages, though most people buy his best one: The Top Gun 160 chip.  The performance isn't staggering, but it does remedy the driveability issues, and gives you a few more lbs of boost, plus kicks the fans on at 160?.  New, I think they were $275.  Used, they go anywhere from $150 - $200.  I have one, and even though I'm getting rid of the TGP & TSTE, I'm reluctant to let it go because I DO plan on buying McLarens again when I'm better situated to do so (buy a house.....and have a GARAGE).

I should drive up there and have a face to face chat with them.  :icon_wink:  See how sure he is of himself when he's confronted with someone who can point out the evidence.

That poor car.  :icon_frown: Maroon, too.  It looks like someone added a HUD to it?  :dunno:

I will be listing it on Craigslist regardless.  Meant to do that while the auctions were going, but kept forgetting about it.  Have a couple other parties interested which I need to see if they'll follow through.

I'm willing to separate some of the turbo kit items, let me know what you want.

What do you want for the various powder coated pieces?
