For Sale / Want to Buy / engine/ parts car
September 08, 2005, 10:10:06 AM
I got a 90 tgp w/ 156k, engine was rebuilt about 60k ago. Engine burns oil and does not start right now, but does turn over.  New battery, has jeff m's 160, top gun, and x-over.  has newer spark plugs, No mufflers, and it also has a k and n cone.  I beleive the turbo has never been rebuilt, but i could be wrong, and last time i checked there was no play in the <impellar??  Pads, rotors, and slides are new on brakes but there is rotor rot because its been sitting. Power Master is a rebuilt unit about a year ago, and also has new pressurized nut (nitrogen) forgot what it is called  Gold cross-lace rims are in pretty good condition, and all four tires are at least 50% or below i think.

Interior isn't in very goog condition, have some contact cement in driver side backseat on floor, air controls dont work on the seats, information center works but dont know how accurate they ever have been, no radio, but i do have stock radio/cassette.  Has blue BioLights for headlights which looks sweet at night.  Moonroof works fine but it is getting more rust on it.  Dent in the passenger door and quarter panel, but i do have the brand new fender for it.  Hood also has some dents in it.  Has a stock spoiler and 5% window tint in the back 3 windows.  RKE entry doesnt work but I bought an old remote that will work, just never resoldered it.  Although it does cycle if you hit the right wires in the trunk.

Ive put over 10k into ontop of the 5500 i bought it for, it's in my local paper for 1600 but if anyone makes a fair offer, ill take it.  Ill get this more organized and post it again later.  If you have any other q's anyone, call 309-303-2367  and leave a message and number b/c i usually dont answer unkown numbers and i'm always at school or work.

For Sale / Want to Buy / bov
August 07, 2005, 09:36:35 PM
i know the downpipe is useless to tgpers, i was just saying what all i had so there was no question about it.  I just never got around to having someone cut the flange off and weld it on my ic pipe.  i dont remember what i said in my last post, but i would let it go very cheap compared to what i bought it for.  i only paid 80 or 100 dollars after shipping from nevada, this was the cheapest 1gsm bov i could find on ebay.  30 or 40 dollars including shipping would be great if someone wants it, if not i will put it on ebay in the next month

For Sale / Want to Buy / 1 GSM Blow off Valve
July 17, 2005, 03:49:28 PM
i beleive that is what this bov is called, i bought two years ago and never have put it on.  i think it came off of a talon or eclipse, and is all metal construction, comes with the flange and down pipe, all in great condition, the flange and down pipe is painted bright aluminum silver, which looks awesome.  to those of you who dont know, a bov will save your turbo from excess wear. when you let off the gas under hard or moderate acceleration, instead of that unused boost going through your turbo, it gets expelled into the atmosphere, which can have a very sweet sound and can make just about every one gooseneck right at your tgp.  you tgp owners know this too well, as i have snapped thousands of necks my way just with the turbo spoolin'.  it has a different king of satisfaction to it.  anywhoo, it saves your turbo from excessive wear, and can add a psi of boost or two.  it can also be crushed(the housing) to hold more than 20 psi of boost for custom applications, and on a tgp only needs one simple connection to the boost lines on the intake which all you need is a t to attach and im sure there is another memer who knows how to do this or give instructions, as it has been too long for me to remeber specifics.

make an offer, i paid around $100 a couple years ago, so i will take any reasonable offer.

For Sale / Want to Buy / tgp
July 17, 2005, 03:32:34 PM
i have a 90 red tgp that im trying to sell.  the tranny works, but slips a little in 4th gear and is a little rough taking off in 1st.  im pretty sure its original and has 156k on it.  my engine has been rebuilt and still has power but burns oil, and recently the other day will not start, but it will turn over.  oil problem could be oil return line for the turbo, i have four cars and dont have the time.  i have the top gun chip, 160 stat, k n cone filter, ans jeff m crossover which all are in great condition.  clear coat is pealing off in places, pass fender is dented and part of the door, but i have an extra fender at least.  interior is so so, this car would be a perfect parts car for many things, as i have put over 10g into it which it doesnt really show.  if you want any more info, email me or leave a message, i dont get online very often, but will when i go back to school in august.  i was looking at getting at least 1500 out of it since i have put some much into, i have a foot tall pile of receipts to back that up.  this wouldbe a great parts car, restoration project, or 3.1 conversion, as the turbo is still in pretty good shape for being original(no play on turbine)

get back at me, as it is already in my local paper and need to sell asap so i can at least get down to 3 cars.

Hey everyone, used to be a member but then I got a TA and have been driving that since the TGP has had a cold and havent been on the boardin  a long time.  Here she goes, Been sitting for about 6-8 months, all at once it started blowing white smoke out the back when it warms up.  Exhaust smells funky, but there didn't seem to be any mixture of oil and antifreeze.  It has been rebuilt about 50-60xxx ago, would really like to get it running again as i drive 50 miles one way to go to school every damn day.  I didnt know if those symtoms would be head gasket, oil return line, heads, valves, or whatever.  I really want to hear that sweet exhaust sytem again, (there is no mufflers.)   Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks Again.
