Exterior/Interior/Lighting / Exterior Mirrors
August 29, 2011, 09:32:28 AM
Hi all. I need new exterior mirrors. Been looking on ebay. There are like a million listings!
Has anyone bought these through ebay? Are they all the same? Do they all come painted gloss black?

For Sale / Want to Buy / Re: Red 90 TGP in NH

I think there's only like 3 or 4 up here in NH. Pretty sure that this one was up for sale recently by owner. Must have traded it in.
Heres the local ad:

Last I checked Walmart sells carpet in the automotive dept. that closely matches ours. It's not perfect but damn close. And for 5 bucks or whatever I figured what the hey. Still haven't gotten around to doing the door panels. I think I got some pics.

Dartmouth MA?! Hmmmmm....... Only 100 miles away.
Maybe I'll keep a close eye on this one. It may go cheap. There is NO reserve!

1/4 Drag Racing / Re: 1st time at the track

Not bad for a first run. New England Dragway typically sucks for "good times" from what I've seen. Chop that 60ft down(better launch) and you'd get into the high 14's without a problem. How was your son launching the car by the way? Was he just matting his foot to the floor at the light or did he "brake torque" any before launching?

You have some experience with the track? It's $20 per driver, $10 for a co-pilot.
Phil (my son) tried different things when launching. He just doesn't have any experience with this car. First time he's driven it. 1 of the runs was a 16.8  :icon_eek: . Looooooots of tire spin there. His r/t for that run was a .491  :icon_confused: . Does that mean if he had that r/t on the 1st run the 1/4 time would be almost .3 lower? A 14.8? What does 230 lbs. of stuff equate to in time added?
I was havin a great time watchin him. Next time I'll have to bring an air pump. And do at least 1 run by myself  :icon_cool:

1/4 Drag Racing / 1st time at the track
October 09, 2008, 01:08:46 PM
Me and my son took the TGP to New England Dragway last night. 1st time ever. Best time out of 4 passes was a 15.114. My son did all the driving. He had NO experience with the track or the car. As you can see on the slip his R/T sucked. He also had problems with wheel spin. Was a good time  :icon_biggrin: All in all I don't think it would be that hard to get it down to a 14.6 or so. I just changed the injectors to the Ford yellow tops and I think it could use a little more tuning. No prep was done. We drove there, raced, then drove home. The passenger + trunk / back seat cargo = 230 lbs. KAZ tune.

.... what type of air filter is going to fit directly on the turbo. Having some troubles with clearance around that area. Cant quite get it on there. Need some ideas.

Relocate your coolant overflow to the passenger side. That'll give you some room. I used a K&N filter #RX-4960.

it's 59.99/mo. for unlimited use

Yeah. Unlimited to 5 gb. Then its .25/mb after. I cancelled my home account because I signed up with this. The gb's add up fast. I haven't gone over yet, but i've been close. "Unlimited", lol.

That's too cool! Will you be marketing these?
I didn't realize the pumps were in the drivers seat. Thanks for the heads up!  :icon_wink:

"Invasion1" aka Dave is no longer in the chip making business.  I bought all his tuning stuff.  In fact he has diasppeared all together from the w-body world.

Dave is back. :icon_mrgreen:

This site was recommended on another board I frequent. Some good info here. Check out this page on Torque vs. Horsepower.

Yep. That's the one. Black wire with a connector on the end. Near the antenna.
