anthing to cool your oil is good but whatever you do get FIXED LINES ONLY!  Those hoses with hose clamps on them will leak and continue to leak and possibly come off while driving.  Been there done that! get fixed lines only.

Performance / universal bov
April 02, 2004, 07:56:10 AM
this is better and no welding.  Some Bov are better than others thats why they cost from $150-300.  the 1st gen dsm is a good place to start but WILL eventually leak.  You pay for what you get.  I trust BLITZ more than some stock bov.

Problems & Solutions / Valve cover Gasket?
March 25, 2004, 07:38:00 AM
i didn't change my Y shaped coolant piece only the hoses.  Why not get a wire wheel and drill and remove all the rust then paint or leave it shiny and paint heavily with 500deg clearcoat.

Problems & Solutions / Valve cover Gasket?

there is a coolant line right on top of the valve cover with 3 different connection poits with hose clamps 1 of those might be leaking down on the valve cover leaving the residue.  MINE WAS!  I took all those old hoses and trashed them and replaced with new ones and new hose clamps.

Performance / What would I need to remove A/C unit???
February 23, 2004, 10:37:05 AM
The delete pulley attaches via a bolt.  The routing is the same just a shorter belt is needed.  I attached a pic of the pulley system with and without a/c so you there won't be any confusion.

to remove the compressor you can get a idler pulley off an beretta/corsica with 2.8/3.1 with no a/c.  Its is also the same pulley connected to the 94+ 2.2L cavalier's tensioner.  Pepboys had an idler pulley for $25 but it was the same as my 95 2.2L tensioner pulley so I just used the cavy one for free.
