take the shifter assembly out and grind notches in to it. just wont be able to lockout but at least you will be able to feel what gear yer in...

Performance / Re: What are your mods and track times?

never fully tuned it sadly but at times was anywhere from 10.0 to 11.5..

Im surprised your able to run with just the stockers on there. maybe its puling timing why it feels slower?
I will say this there is a very large improvement after an upgraded intercooler is installed

I could fix it. couple other pistons got scuffed and a new head would have to be ported. Replace all valves and such. Rod as well. but I have no interest in fixing that engine.

I will be building this new engine for the Mach 5 and not looking back.

I didn't know what happened but then once I realized there was coolant in the header and the engine was locked up I knew it wasn't the crank. but I assumed. the exhaust valve on cyl #5 decided to snap in half. then crank will be magnafluxed so I can be sure it doesn't have any issues

I had headers on the previous engine. issue is with the turbo in the stock location the last 2 runner 5/6 become short and burn the exhaust valves.. ask me how I found that out.. cost the motor. Ill post pix of that at some point

Sorry about the wait. I may send out the modified 3500 crank I have in my other engine to be hardened and use that since m already way out of budget. Im just worried about failure again. We shall see. I will be stopping by my machinist tonight to ask him about doing this and see what he says if he thinks it will hold then I may just do that and get the ball rolling on getting this project done over the winter.

Been very busy working at night and building my gf's Mustang. I will post these when I have a chance to sit down one night. But basically all Im waiting on is funding for the Crower Billet Crankshaft which will be basically after I finish both the Mustang 347 and the Mitsubishi Starion. I have the Suspension fabricated though. fabbed up some pillow ball strut mounts and modified the housings to accept Koni Short Stroke Shocks. I would like to at least get all that together by the winter. We shall see.

Stay Tuned

I can say I wouldn't go more than 10-12 psi and a hot tune and some minor bolt ons. should be good for around 240ish-250 to the tire. The trans may be hurting at that point though.
