For Sale / Want to Buy / parts for sale
August 12, 2009, 05:09:51 PM
-I have 6 AC Delco A875C air filters in the garage that I need to get rid of.
- I also have a pair of gray cloth front seats that are almost new, I bought them a few years ago from a friend and he says they were taken out    of a new car back in early 90's. I don't know what year but I think gp's had these seats until '93.
-I also have the console switch control panel for the seats.
-I have a radiator over flow bottle for a tgp.
-I have an air cleaner housing with the inlet and outlet hoses.
-I  also have a mint 1990 grand prix owners manual and the turbo supplement . turbo supplement sold on ebay 9/05/09
- I don't want to ship seats, they are too heavy. I am in sterling hts mich. about 20 miles north of detroit.
- AM NOT TRYING TO GET RICH, JUST REASONABLE, BUT WOULD LIKE THIS STUFF TO GO TO PEOPLE WHO COULD USE IT.

How do I? / Re: [SOLVED]Ignition Module?

I think that is what I used a couple of years a go when I repaired my vac. lines.

its your car. I like the look of the side cladding of the 94-96 (less grooves). if something happens to my front end I would probably do the same thing.

installed '98 lumina rear sway bar and 34mm front sway bar. feels really nice, much flatter corners.

have had good luck with ac rapidfires. been in there for over a year. not modded yet but starting to.

when my relay was sticking on the car would be off and the pump would still be running. I used to keep a long screw driver in the car and if it did stick on I would tap it with  the screw driver to stop it. I bought a new relay last winter and from what I was told they are no longer available, I must have got one of the last few.

General / Re: bad radiator in my TGP. Options?
April 21, 2009, 05:58:13 PM
last weds. night my inlet popped off my radiator also. I took it to a repair shop and he wanted $375 to recore the original or he could make a custom aluminum one for $450. I had been thinking about an aluminum custom any way so I had him make one. when I get it back I will post some pictures. i will probably do the overflow relocation also, I found a Z-34 overflow bottle and then maybe a k&n filter on the turbo.

Performance / Re: Which way to go..

sounds interesting on the 6000. having had an '86 ste, i really like those cars. am not sure how strong the awd drivetrain was on those cars. I started working for gm  at gm research in '86 and all of the test vehicles were ste's. i remember that one of our phd's took one off-roading and burned up the drivetrain. he was a real idiot. never really drove an awd. i always liked driving the getrag 5 spd versions which came out in '87.

Suspension/Wheels/Tires/Brakes / Re: Powermaster

what is the problem when you put on a new accumulator and it still gives a code for low accumulator code 62. after about 20 minutes of driving the abs light will flash and give a code 62. when the lght is one the motor cycles for just a second or 2, it sounds like it is chattering. the system has 116,000 miles and i just put a new accumulator on it.

Problems & Solutions / Re: Braking problems
February 07, 2009, 09:55:01 AM
driving mine as my daily driver here in michigan where we have gotten almost 66 inches of snow this winter, I like having the anti-lock feature. i was wondering if anyone has ever tried an abs VI conversion or if it is even possible in the space available. i had the pump motor relay go bad just recently on the powermaster III. had a hard time finding one as they are discontinued. vintage part is going to sell the rest of GM'S inventory. they retailed at $185 but all of the parts sites were anywhere from $97- $145, but they are not available anymore.

some conversion company did this, olds never did to my knowledge.

a place called specmo checked out  my cluster and supposedly fixed that problem and checked accuracy of all gauges, they charged $200 and less than a year later was doing the same thing. thats when i did it myself.

General / Re: Reupholstered Driver seat

that price is not high. i got a quote from shelby trim here in sterling hts mi. of a couple thousand dollars. they said the materials alone would run $700. that was just for the one seat and that it would be difficult to do.
