it has a lot of miles on it. Talked to the guy, and found out that tranny filter and fluid been changed at regular intervals. New rear brakes and rotors. Radiator fans replaced. master cylinder has been replaced with a used part with 58XXX miles on it.paint is in good condition. BUT it has a lot of miles. what do you guys think? is $2250 too much for this car? I really want one, but I'm afraid of the milage.

This is one of the cars I called about. It needs the power master cylinder thing replaced on it (electric motor for brakes from what he told me). looks like a great car though.

i've been so busy with my Regal GS that i haven't had time to do anything with the R/T yet.  on top of that i'm moving back down to Laramie this month so it might be a little while yet before i can start in on it.  my brother and i are going down to Laramie tomarrow to find an apartment.  hopefully we can find one with a garage!

Tim, like you i sold my last car and bought another one because i just really wanted something different.  my TGP powered 5-speed Cutlass was a TON of fun! but i had owned the car for 7+ years and i guess i just got kind of bored with it.  i used to own a rare T2/A555 '89 Lebaron GTS and i really liked that car.  it was only a matter of time before i owned another TD   there was no way i was going to pass on this R/T, rust free, fairly low miles, and already sitting in front of my apartment :icon_biggrin:  i'm surprised my brother didn't snag it before i did, but then again he already has a Shelby Lancer, Omni GLH Turbo and of course the red Spirit R/T.  he is currently collecting everything needed for a 2.5L TIII swap into his Shelby.

it looks like i could probably get this R/T going after i replace the turbo and lines, but i'd rather just pull the engine/trans and go through it this winter.

Thats awesome. My buddy down here has a GLHS that is in pretty good shape. It's getting a T3/T4 this winter. He says that I'm going to regret selling my CSX, but also told me that I will love the way this Gran Prix drives and handles. like I said in my other post, hopefully I'm not digging a deeper hole.

That should be interesting. I have been told by a few ppl that the TGP's dont make good daily drivers...

Explain . . . This isn't something I want to hear when I'm picking up my car in 3 days.

These cars are great cars. coming from the turbo dodge world, these cars are all that i know. If your looking for a forum, check out turbododge.com. these guys have been around for years and can help you out of any problem you encounter.

By the way, awesome deal on that car. A T-III for 800 bucks, what a steal.
The thread starter (malibuolds) and his twin brother (iTurbo) are both on turbododge.com and I am Charger R/T there. I assUme you are there as well with you user name. I found TD.com has a user with the same user name is that you? If so I checked out your page with pictures of your csx.
Tim

Yes, I have the same name on turbododge. Whats even more interesting is that my name is Tim as well. I've sold my CSX, I dont want to sell it, but then again I'm ready to get rid of it. I just want something that is easy to drive. I'm a sucker for these rare cars, and obviously I found a Turbo Gran Prix. All power options . . . I'm sold already. Let alone the potential.    Granted, in 2 weeks, I may be kicking myself in the @$$, but at least it will be something different.

welcome and are you really an ex-turbo dodge guy or is it still running in your vains? I'm not near you and I don't own anything GM. I have mopar blood. But I do have a good neighbor with a TGP. He is my electricain and I'm his mechanic.
Tim

I'm still a turbo dodge guy, but only until the middle of this week. I'm seling my CSX, and taking the money from it and going to a turbo Gran Prix. hopefully I'm not digging myself into a deeper hole. the Car I'm looking at looks promising. I Travel a lot, and I'm looking forward to the Auto tranny. All the power options will be nice as well.

I'm pretty sure he's been on here before. I know he lives in Dallas Center Iowa, and his name is Dennis. He seems like a great, strait forward guy. Talked to him for quite a while the other night. The tricky thing is that I can't get the gran prix til I get rid of my shelby car next week. Thats where I'm getting the money. Hopefully he holds it long enough for me.

Also, thanks for the welcome. Hopefully by this time next week I'll be a GM guy as well

Hello everyone. Just got referred to this forum from the other W-body forum and I have to say, alot to look at. I currently own a Shelby CSX, but it has been sold. I got to looking at the market and found a Mclaren gran prix that seems to be in pretty good shape. I've been around the turbo dodge world now for years, but these GM turbo cars seem to be even more different than I thought they would. I'll be picking up the gran prix next week and I am looking forward to modifying it soon. I will probably have a lot of questions real soon as in what to do performance wise. I've been reading a bunch of the threads, but alot of this goes past me just because I know nothing of the cars. So, bear with I guess. Great to meet you guys.

By the way, Are there any members out there in Missouri?
