well im holding out for a drivers seat as thats my real damaged one.  dont know if i wanna attempt to move the skin from a passenger seat or not.  i might just wreck it.  anyone done that?  if i find both seats inone place might buy just to have.  i have tan ones to trade as well as other parts.  anyone who has what i need contact me offline with pictures and prices and location.  im in central wisconsin.  thanx!.........scot

new torque convertor?  is there a better option than the one thats in there?  also im not sure how to go about rebuilding it if its a "special" tranny for the turbos maybe its not possible with rebuild kits out there etc? wanna weigh all my options and money is a concern.  i can afford the $350 used one but not a $2000 rebuild:)........scot

hey guys, my tranny is slippin awful and time to do somethin about it.  im assuming it costs a fortune to rebuild?  r there rebuild kits for it?  same as regular GTP tranny?  differences? possible? got a line on a used TGP tranny  for $350. better off goin with a functional used one? good price? anyone in wisconsin area with experience with our turbo cars wanna rebuild it for me? any options or info is appreciated!.........scot

holy crap. $275 for the cd player?  last car i looked at had one but since it had a cracked button i didnt bother as i have so many tapes i would rather have my tape player!:)   r these worth all that? that one was a 1992 gt i think...........scott

hey, im in beaver dam, wisconsin not too far from u!  have u put the moonroof in other NON grand prix cars?  i offered this guy who had the tgp $500 since the battery and broken parts seemed to had dissapeared since i was last there and noone knew where they went, so i said if u can track that stuff down i would offer the $700 back up but no response so i figure its not gonna happen. but i still have the moonroof. thinkin i might put it in my 68  or 70 cougar? opinions?......scot

so im assuming there is a way to chnage the mph cutout since we seem to have alot of differing numbers on that?  how is it done and should it be? also it sounds like the 89 goes much faster? also a 5 speed tranny unlike 1990 4 speed? anything else? hmmmm.

interesting, my first grand prix was a loaded 1991 GTP and there was a factory limiter that cut the rpms at 104.  i now have a 1990 TGP and it does the same thing!?  hmmmmm.  is there different month runs or something? an upgrade or degrade of some sorts why things may be different between cars? when i wanna go that fast i drive one of my muscle cars:) HA! would be nice to get my grand prix goin that fast like u mention. let me know how!.....scot

well they insist it runs and drives, i think i can fix it up quite easily. just needs the thermostat housing and a battery i know ive seen TGPs around here before.  this one doesnt have all the correct tires and stuff and i would have noticed that but maybe theres another one floating around.  hard to believe me and this one and another one all around my little town bein as rare as they r!?  hmmmmm. well i believe him as i have seen then around here and the story jives.  looked everything over and the broken part is there.  if i had the other part that broke off i could probly have it fixed at a welding shop. so the 89 has a weaker block and cam journals?  well, keep teachin me guys, a different yr prix might be nice but i DO have enuf stuff already!:)  hey grinders_18, u have a 89 TGP?  whats the  security light switch and whats it do,  speaker performance control?  and does it work if the radio is gone? the rear speaker deck is covere d in cigarrette burns,  probly should be replaced if i keep it.  r 89 or 90 more rare?  can i easily find the stuff i need for this?  thanx agian guys!......scott

do u know what yr it is or what the extra gadgets r that it has i mentioned? i guess i kinda half assed figured the motor parts would be different as far as hp, turbos, camshafts, blocks cranks, etc as everything seems to be built to different tolerances for these different type cars? 88-90? .....scot

hey guys found a TGP 4 sale. i thought it would be a 89 as door says manufactured 8/89? vin is 1G5WP14V8KF336102. HAS 162,000 miles and askin $700.  hope to get it for less as its not running.  they broke the thermostat housing and couldnt find one to fix it so selling. is this an 89 or a 90? the leather seat centers r solid and not pleated like in my 1990 TGP and has extra yellow levers on the dash cluster wings as well as a performance sound button on the drivers side door?  what the heck is that? i will include some pics. two mismatched tires, no front valence, two dented doors from bad alignment, no visors and bad headliner, seats r good except for some rips in the drivers side. rest of interior is there exept the radio. i was thinkin of buyin this for a winter car OR for parts for my 1990 TGP. is everything ionterchangeable?  parts, motor componants.  can i use parts from the 89's motor to fix my 1990 motor if i blow it up? also a no sunroof car but i have an extra one and was wonderin if anyone has cut a hole in a non moonroof car to install one?  should this even be attempted? what have others PAID for their cars? what is the REAL value of this car to be paid? i will include a few pics, any advise would be great!.....Scot
