you are talking about the front hydraulic filled mount

if so loosen the subframe bolts up, to allow the subframe to drop some then take the harmonic balancer off, so you get access to the top mount nuts and then take the nuts loose from the under side of the frame and use a jack or hoist to lift the motor up to give you more room, you should have enough  room to get it out. if not lower the subframe some more and watch out for the steering rack shaft  so it don't pull apart.

yes i used a cherry picker to pick the motor as high as it would go, and then i lowered the subframe. another way you can do it is take the harmonic balancer off as it just slides on the snout once you take the bolt out. them unbolt the mount from the from the frame or separate the two unbolt the cradle from the mount. and if you unbolt the cradle from the motor it will move up some, to give you move room.

Problems & Solutions / subframe changing
April 09, 2008, 09:55:22 AM
Well i have been changing the subframe these past couple of days and found some things that needs to be changed. The subframe came from a 90's Grand Prix SE with a 3.1 N/A  1) the steering rack cooling lines need to be from a non turbo GP as they are bent different than the turbo lines. 2) the front motor mount cradle needs to be used from the GTP turbo, a 3.1 cradle is bent different when it bolts to the side of the block under the a/c compressor. 3) the heat shield that covers the steering rack needs to be changed or new holes drilled as the turbo GP the mounting point are wider, the N/A are closer together. All i did with mine is made new holes and bolted it up.  I will post pics soon, and i will check and make sure this isn't anything i left out.
