I do apologize if you though I was attacking you or the car.

Over the phone I though we came to an agreement because I said that weekend I could send a friend up to pick the car up and was only waiting for your schedule.

I'm glad you were able to sell it though, as I no longer see it for sale.

Wish you all the best luck with your other TGP's, and endevours.

just an FYI, I was buying this car for $600 cash in hand, hand a trailer arranged and was less than 24 hours from picking it up. he called me to say he wanted $1500 because he put a new battery in it...

the pictures are from a few years ago, the car has sat on a farm in the grass for over a year, the clearcoat is peeled, the interior is "OK", the rear window shelf is very dirty and might have mold.

He only recently got it running, and did so without replacing any fluids or filters. the "lifter tick" is a rod knock.

the car is not driveable and doesn't run good (runs rough). needs tires, brakes, engine refresh, turbo rebuild/replacement as it blows smoke, there are some random electrical issues he didn't want to talk about for some reason, needs a headliner, there is body rust under the side molding (not much though)...

I first started talking to the owner a few months ago.

long story short I've told him I'll buy it and we did agree on a price...
I have never said bad things about people, he's not a bad guy, just an un-educated TGP Owner (fyi - he owns 3 TGPs...) and there are good reasons why he is selling this one. and it's not because he has too many...hint hint.

with about $1500 in work it'll be a good daily driver (that's only if the transmission isn't shot)
the engine needs to be taken out and re-sealed, and maybe new bearings/rings.

I had planned on fixing it up, but alas he became unreasonable.

hopefully this helps if anyone wanted more info.

the owner isn't a bad person
and the car itself is in decent shape
long story short - just know it needs help mechanically

For Sale / Want to Buy / need parts for a TGP I'm buying
November 26, 2012, 08:56:28 AM
Wow, it's been a loooong time since I popped on here, seems like there aren't as many people on this forum as there use to be.

anyway...

Here's What I need:

rear brake proportioning valve (they removed it...)

Front Bumper Valence/airdam/spoiler with all mounting hardware

TGP Gauge Cluster that doesn't misread (current speedo reads 100mph+ at 40-50mpg)

Head's Up Display flashes the Check Engine light all the time but nothing is wrong. the actual gauge cluster never has the Engine Light on when the HUD flashes it...

If there are DIY things I can do on the gauges and HUD I'd love to know as I am a Technician, but I haven't taken a TGP apart...other than rebuilding the turbo.

let me know prices, or link me to some "help threads"

I have no interest in swapping the TGP Gauge Cluster out for a standard GP cluster as it doesn't have the Boost gauge or say "Intercooled Turbo" ;)

Thank you!!

I lucked out finding these parts for my 3.4L Fiero and the awesome part is they are of my old 1990 White (grey int) TSTE. I randomly saw the parts and got talking about my old car and the new owner and I realized it was my old car :D
What a small world.

Anyway, for sale is a good condition o Crossover, Downpipe, and Stock Turbo.

I had rebuilt the Turbo a few years ago when I sold the car, so my guess would be it's still very good.

I never had any issues with the set up. just wont need it in my Fiero as I'm going for a more streetable set up now (minor engine mods)

Price is Firm at $200 (the downpipe and cross over didn't leak before removal and the turbo worked great!!)
Figure shipping will be between $40-70 depending on where you live in the Continental USA.
I am just trying to make my money back, $200 is it.
If you want to pick the parts up just shoot me a message and I'll give you my info.

It's been a couple years since I was on here, but what a great crowd ;)

http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/jwl/1559634706.html

I need to sell this ring before Valentine's day. I had bought it a while ago, because I got a good deal from a family friend who owns Lake Country Jewelers in Pewaukee, WI.

I'd like to get something different for my girlfriend. shoot me an offer.

if I ship it to you it will be with USPS Priority Mail, with full insurance and signature confirmation.

I'll take any reasonable offer (although I'd like to get what I'm asking. ;)  )

Thanks!!!

would the rockers work on an 85 fiero with the 2.8L V6?
it's the same as a 2.8 in a cavalier or grand prix from 88-1994 I believe.

any thoughts?
I might want them if they arent spoken for yet.
Thanks!!

Why not 3800 your fiero??

my first fiero (86 SE v6 auto) was to have the 3800 swap in it. I bought all the parts needed but decided to keep money in the bank so I sold all the parts except for what I have listed above.
