It is about 125ft above sea level, so yes it is pretty good.
Quote from: Shifter23 on December 30, 2012, 12:40:17 PMok thanks for clearing that up....i'm guessing i need to change mine out because it is slipping in reverse.. Forward is all good....i have only 79,000 miles...is there another part that might be stopping it from going in reverse?
The 4T60E and 65E are but they will need some retro fitting to make them work. You run a vacuum actuated transmission those are electronic actuated. Look for the threads through search it has been done before. For reference you have the 4T60 HD which is just a modified 440T4.
Quote from: Shifter23 on December 29, 2012, 02:07:19 PMthanks buddy.. i thought someone here said the 4t60e is a stronger one,, unless this is what i have.
Your best bet is to beef up what you have. THe only other transmission that may work with minimal modification is a Cadillac Allante transmission but I would say just build what you have the Allante has a different final drive and is of the same family of transmissions.

I literally forgot this site was here for awhile and just checked in today. That's a good thing; means my car is still running well. :icon_cool:

Quote from: flybynite on March 28, 2011, 01:35:24 PMHows the ride,, do you bottom out?
That's exactly what I did on my red TGP. Just slipped in the birchmount and started trimming the front springs until the desired height was achieved. Ended up cutting off 1 1/4 coil. FLAME ON :flamingdevil:
