ok first off the car is still in one piece so with any request it will take time to dismantle.
now the engine runs fine has 150K on it 3k mile oil changes were done since i got it.
hood doesn't have louvers installed.
parts of interest:
24 pound injectors installed MAYBE 1k on them
underdrive pulley installed
rebuilt crossover with t3 flange and bolt up for a 5-speed (will need work to mount to a auto)
downpipe adapted for t3 but bad design could be made better
topgun 160 chip and thermo installed 30k ago
5-speed and everything that hooks up to one
auto transmission needing rebuild
pmIII works has loose wire on bottum needs fixing(new accumulator 15k ago)
t3 turbo not available
T25 turbo available but needs a rebuild
no leather
the original radio is gone
the dic is in good condition but the shroud has no automatic shifter I cut it out for the 5-speed shifter

other than the the car is intact.

I would sell it whole but the thing has been sitting and now it won't start. my dad also back a machine into the driver side fender and crunched it.

um where'd you get that turbo?

what rpm do you get boost at?

also you might be getting surge as thats a huge turbo.
I searched GT45 on google and a mustang forum came up and they were saying it was 20% to big for a 4.6L v8
also they are you'd on drag cars at 600+hp or big diesel trucks.

now I don't know what the rs stands for as google doesn't return any
results on it.

got any pics of the turbo or engine bay?

Well I went to the track tonight/this morning I ran once at 12:00 and once at 1:00. I tried to scan the first but it was on a white paper so it wouldn't scan.
people were saying stuff like "he's running that? hahah"
and "that should be funny"  :twisted:
funny thing is all there imports were 9.7 and up (one made 9.7 all others were in the 10's)
5.0s were doing bad there was one there with racing slicks and a bottle in the back and he ran 9.47

first run:

the left car was a 80 something firebird that had alot of work done on it.

It's funny watching the imports put the e-brak on and rev to try and break the tires and just chirp. I go up no brake and stomp it and squeel all the way to the line.

1/4 Drag Racing / 1/8 mile times?

I'm going to try to make it to the track this weekend. the track is only 1/8 mile. what type of times should I expect?
current mods:
top gun 160
a/c fin mod
cone filter behind left headlight
no cat
current weight with me in car and 3/4 tank of gas: 3660 pounds

when I went to the dyno I showed 168hp and 211ft-tq at the ground.
that was before the relocation of the cone though(before it was between the exaust manifold and radiator).
I could feel the difference between the locations.

okay the first pic I need info on that. I found a little box like that on the passenger floor when I first got the car. I never hooked it up because I didn't know what it was or where it hooked up. I looked under the steering wheel and I can't seem to find the connector. anyone know where the wires originate? so I can follow them. I would love to have the steering controls working. I put I different stereo in it butI'm thinking about hooking it back up just to be stock.

first off sorry about the length of the post.


I'm getting overboost I think. when I come to a dead stop and floor it I take off then the boost hits just below 15 on the stock boost gauge(I know it's not right) then power starts to fluctuate like it's loosing boost then gaining back and fourth really fast. but the gauge never changes.
it only happends at the end of first and all through second. I can let off the gas and I have power again but if I give it pedal again it starts again.
this happends even lower in the throttle when my brother is in the car.
I have no vacume leaks that I know of. my cruise works and so does my a/c.

also it started when I changed my intake setup. before I had my cone filter attached to pvc pipe then a peice of hose attached it to the turbo.(the hose was about 4" and was from the stock turbo to airbox hose)
it worked fine then but the cone was between the radiator and manifolds (making it a hot air intake)


 now my new intake has a 4" long piece attached to the cone and the hose is attached to a 3" long pvc pip and thats attached to a 5" long piece hose(all the hoses are pieces of the stock hose)that attaches to the turbo.  now the cone is in front of the battery behind the headlights.
now I have alot more power all the time(when it's not acting up)

I thought it was collapsing the hose but I put metal rings in the hose so it can't collapse.

anythoughts on the  problem?

I just came across a 93 Grand prix special edition it's an automatic and has a 3.1L in it. the tranny is sliping and theres a dent on both fenders.
the interior is worn. the engine has 180000 on it but has no smoke or miss. it has gold lace rims. the guy wants $500 for it. is it worth it? I like the look of the car alot.
I've always wanted a 5-speed so I don't care that the tranny is bad. my dad says the dents will come out. my thoughts are to convert it to a turbo 5-speed. I have my old turbo chip and I found a turbo engine online for $300 so all thats taken care of. how hard is the 5-speed swap? what do I need? I figure for the price I could get my money back from selling the parts if nothing else.

well I'm thinking about A 6-speed or 5 speed tranny mounted to it.
A guy is about to start producing them and they will handle loads of power.
and there not going to be a arm and leg.
