end of an era, it's been fun.

For anyone who has visited the site for the last few years, it is no mystery that the membership and posting traffic has slowed down to a crawl. The Turbo grand prix is slowly fading in to the past, and that has left me with a decision to make in regards to the future of this forum.
Starting January 1st 2021, new member registrations will be disabled for this forum, and new topic creation will be turned off.
Starting February 1st 2021, topic replies will be turned off. At this point the forum will enter an "Archive" status and will remain on the internet as a large resource for the Turbo Grand Prix. I will enable guest access to all previously hidden forums (with exception to administration forums), so all topics can be accessed without a registered user account.
Future TGP questions/topics can be created over at the W-body.com forums https://www.w-body.com

Thank you to all the members that have contributed to the large data resource this forum holds for the TGP. It is my goal to keep this online for as long as we can do so securely!

I bought this car last year with intentions of parting it out.
But once delivered i realized the car was too nice to part.
It did however need a new sunroof as the old one was busted
Ive since repaired and also got the car running.
New ESC, knock sensor and ECM. Also fresh tune up with new
Delco R42s plugs and belding wires. However the trans does need work as it has no 3rd (drive) or OD. Only does the 1-2 shift. Has 99k actual miles and a clear title
Paint is to be expected with some clear coat issues as most do and other than the headliner and sunroof material coming loose the interior is otherwise in good shape.
Price is 1500 obo as this is what i have into it.

There's a lot of underbody rot, and I don't have a title in my name because RI is shit (I do have a trail of paperwork proving I own it, just not good enough paperwork for the state of MI, apparently).

Engine has about 1k on a rebuild. It's mostly been sitting for the past ten years. Every once in a while, I'd have a burst of energy and start working on it again, but dealing with the rust and the title bs has pushed me to just want to be done with it. I have a partially tuned chip for it, but I never finished tuning it. I have the ALDL USB cable and an Ostrich 2.0 and a chip burner that will go with it.

Please somebody buy it, or pass it along. I have no energy to part it, but I really want to be rid of it. It has so many good / basically new / rare parts on it and I'd hate myself for scrapping it.

For someone on here or on w-body or on 60degree, I might be able to help transport it within the Michigan/Ohio-ish area. Maybe. Not sure if U-Haul will allow me a full-trailer for my Dakota. PS rear trailer arm is gone, so there's no way I would put it on just a tow dolly.

when my TGP was stock , yes injectors left me stranded .    sounds like you checked just about everything else .

pop off the upper intake and ohm the injectors ,  a drastic reading will indicate you have a bad one ... or more.  Injectors are the first things I would replace with any TGP.   

do a continuity test from the cranks sensor wire to the ignition control module , otherwise your CPS wont be doing much.

The tach and radio in these cars are known to be very problematic in various ways so im not sure I would blame that yet for your engine not running right.

I have a 89 tgp. Car was running great then started stalling around 3000 rpm. Got it home barely. Then was hard starting then wouldn't start unless sat for a while. When through everything. Good fuel pressure clean exhaust. Changed all the electronics 1 at a time trying to fix. Tps, crank sensor, egr, control module, coils, o2, map, and ecu. Nothing worked. Also after I changed the ice and coil packs, the tach stopped working and now the radio doesn't respond. Only stays at 1:00 and can't tune or change volume etc, its like its frozen. Car will start after a while idle then dies. I give it gas it dies usually too even below 3000 rpm. Any ideas??? Prom chip? Ita strange that the tach and radio now have problems. Never had problems before, please help I'm at my witts end. Injectors? It seems to be electrical since the other issues.
