Well, I went to the track on friday night and I managed to hit 14s, which was my goal for this car.  Here are my runs:

14.975 @ 90.90
15.130 @90.15
15.155 @88.02

It was the "fast and the furious" race night at the track I went to, and it was only $7 to race.  It's usually $25 to race and since it was so cheap that night I guess they had to save money somewhere.  Well, they saved money by using no traction compound I guess, because my friends and I were spinning the whole night.  My best run was my first because it was just past sunset so the track was still a little warm.  I'm happy because I know if I got a good launch that I could run a better time.  Now, I'm unhappy because now my tranny is slipping a little in the 2-3 shift.  It pisses me off because the 2-3 shift in my car was so much snappier than the 1-2.  Yeah well, I guess I'll do a 5 speed conversion to this one if the tranny takes a crap. I'm going to build up an automatic though for my other TGP, which is going to be the track car.

Mr. Mod Man

What makes the nice one "nice"? And How fast is the "track only" one going to be? Are you going to chip it and get a hybrid turbo and port and polish the heads and keep it light?

If I had two TGPs that would be what I would do. But I only have one so it is super heavy with it's stereo and fully loaded with A/C.

It would be super cool if they were both identical externally
TopGun160,x-pipe,TB coolant bypass, new stock injectors, coils,Taylor Spiro-pro 8mm,Iridium,Monster 2 gauge cable from alternator to charge post, new vacuum/boost lines

There's the link to my website, but it's hard to tell that my first TGP isn't very nice as it's shady.  My first one has faded paint and the rear passenger quarter panel & the hood have been repainted, but the previous owner repainted is regular black instead of metallic black.  It also has a whole in the rear bumper cover for a hitch and the driver's door gfx is falling off.  Plus, there are a bunch of dents on the hood and the paint on the trunk is starting to peel. So in the sun it looks bad.  Now, my second one is virtually perfect in everyway that my first one isnt'.  It's been repainted the right way with the correct metallic black and whoever repainted it did a very good job.

I have plans for either GenIII or Jeff M. Ultraflow heads, either crane 260 or 272 cam, turbo upgrade T3, bigger injectors, weight reduction, no A/C.  The A/C doesn't work in the old one anyways.  I already have a Jeff M. x-over, but I switched it to my new one already.  I'm starting to pull the engine/tranny so that I can get the bottom end rebuilt.  That's all I have planned for now, but I'm sure other things will show up along the way.   8)
