Well I don't post in here very often but I'm having major problems right now with my 89 tgp.  I had a mechanic listen to my car today and he told me that it is definitely lower engine noise, probably a rod or a cap.  So now I'm faced with rebuilding my engine that only has 68,000 miles on it.  Does anyone know where I could find rebuild kits for the v-code turbo 3.1.  I checked northern auto parts and they supply the kit but it comes with cheeper gaskets and some inferior parts (federal mogul pistons).  I'm also curious if the 3800 block would bolt up to my heads, intake, etc. and if engine electronics (gtp) would be compatible with the 3800 block.  The larger block would create more horsepower I believe, even though it is probably a bore/stroke difference.
