Tonight was the first time that I really floored it from a stop. 4-5 kids in what I guess was an early-90s to mid-90s Accord 5-speed with a muffler, wheels, mini scorpion wing reved at me like crazy at a light.

I didn't go at that light because it's on top of a hill and a cop is usually at the McDonald's half-way down and there is a light right at the bottom of the hill. The Honda driver chirped his tires from the first light as I left normally. As we went through the 2nd light I paced the Accord as everyone looked over at me. I pointed forward and the passanger acknowledged me.

We got lined up. He revved a little and inched up a bit. I stayed back where I was. Light turned green. I floored it as hard as I could. I swear, I squeeled the tires all the way through 1st gear and had major torque steer [tried to keep car from going side to side]. I then let off not 50ft past the light after I proved my car could beat his without downright slaughtering him. After I let off, I just coasted back to 5 over as the kids in the Accord passed me and nodded in respect [Hey, I was just as surprised as you where that they didn't pull a ricer fly-by].
