Which way do the rods go on the pistons?

Well guy's since my rods were notched to tell which way was front it has been fun. Been through about 30 rods and picked the best. Now I have somebody else to press them in the pistons and need to know which way they go. I forgot! Or don't remember well enough to say.

Anyhow, the easiet way for me to tell is which way the bearing locking tabs go. To the outside of the motor or the inside? Anybody know for sure,
not even sure if it makes a difference.

They go on tommrrow morning any help would be appreciated. Please no gusses.

Why don't shops know these motors?  :(
