Well guys, tomorrow may be the big day.  This is the car I'm referring to:

A buddy of mine came by last night to take a look at what I got, and we got our first good look at the engine compartment.  The sensors that I thought were missing are actually there, just tucked way in the back of the motor for some odd reason.   :? One of the spark plug wires is cracked and will probably ark, but I'm not too terribly concerned about that just yet.  We'll get to that if she kicks over and doesn't rod knock or anything.  Oh, sleeperred90tgp, that unplugged harness was the nearest fuel injector to the driver's side front of the plenum like I suspected.  Don't ask me why it was unplugged.

We got every thing in place last night, and we went to jump it.  All the interior lights were working, fuel pump could be heard, and she cranked hard.  But the battery was just too far drained of juice for too long to even accept a decent charge from the jump.  Plus we didn't have decent connection anywhere.  So, I'll charge it up for a few hours tomorrow morning and see what happens.  So no confirmation yet, but yesterday was a good indication that she might be ok.  All I want to find out at this point is if she'll run without signs of significant repair being needed.  If that happens, then it's ON!! :D  :D

IT'S ALIVE AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!     Oh man!  I can't even begin to explain how excited I am!!!  We put a charged up battery in, and it was cranking good and hard, but just wouldn't turn over.  It was back-firing like crazy.  After a good 5 minutes of tinkering with it, she finally fired up!  There's the smell of burnt motor oil everywhere, but the turbo seemed to be spinning freely, although the compressor was coming almost to a complete stand still, but we think that's due to the fact that the crossover is leaking BADLY, and hopefully not becuase the turbo is shot.  I temporarily put the K&N from the TSTE over the turbo just so we could give her a spin around the parking lot.  Oh man, the thing is so far from being put back together (the boot on at least one spark plug wire is almost cut in half, the sensors are all loose, the fan is loose, the intake was missing, crossover in terrible shape, etc.) and the thing still HAULES ASS!!!!!!!!  I couldn't believe how much quicker it was off the line than my nearly mint TSTE (another reason I don't think the turbo is shot).  You could hear her spool up for blocks!  And I took her around the corner behind the garages for rent to give me some run way to let her rip from a stand still.  It wouldn't stop lighting up the tires untill I got off the gas!!!!  UNBELIEVABLE!!!  This car that was going to be trashed seems to have more power than my nice condition TSTE!!!  I thought there was a good possibility she'd run, but I wasn't expecting THIS!!!  If this thing runs like this in a dismantled, horrible state, what the hell is it going to do once it's back up to par???!!!Man, that's it!  It's over!

Chalk up another TGP as saved!!!!!!!!!
