Coolant Level Sensor

I have an issue with the low coolant light in my car.  It is full of coolant and never overheats, but until the coolant cycles and the thermostat opens, the light doesn't go off.  I've read in my manual that it could be the coolant level sensor, which is mounted on the side of the radiator right?  Any tips on diagnosis?

Pull it out and clean the two little terminals inside. They may just be gunked up.

Should I bleed the system afterwards?  You and I have had a lot of common problems with our cars.  You da man.  Thanks.

Once the system is opened and brought to temp you should bleed off the air during idle. A few times may be necessary.

I've never opened the bleeder on any of my GP's. I top the radiator off and leave the cap off until the t-stat opens. If coolant starts coming out before the t-stat opens put the cap on and wait for the low coolant light to come on. Open the radiator and keep filling until it won't take anymore.
