Where's a good place to mount 4 switches? I have two in the center console by the DIC, but I don't like it and want to move them. Where can I move them to?  :?

What are they for?  You could move them to inside the center console, or put them on the BOTTOM side of the overhead console.  Just a couple thoughts, I have one for the boost selector switch just in front of the ashtray thingy on the console, so close to where your's are now.

Overhead console is a good spot if he don't have a sunroof.

I say take the ashtray out and make a small panel that fits in there.

That's where my hidden manual fan switches reside on my 93 GP. ..I've been meaning to wire the cig lighter socket back up and make some sort of rotating bracket behind the DIC so that I can carry one of my 12v portable air compressors just in case I need one to air up a tire someday.

what kind of switches? metal type switches or the plastic rocker type switches?  I used to have some in the little pocket next to where the radio is. Use a dremel and cut a small hole in the back for your wires.  If you use those plastic light-up style, break the little tabs off the side or sand down the sides of the pocket a LITTLE and they fit perfectly.  You can fit like 6 switches in there.

I need a SCANNER...was looking at the "Bringing up Baby on Boost" article about the TGP back in 89 and saw a switch at the very top of the door speaker enclosure...just another idea of mounting location.  There are also a few other differences noticeable in the TGP pictured vs. the production cars. 8)  I might try to take pics of the article w/ my digi cam and post/point out some of the differences I've noticed so far.  Sorry for the off-topic chatter...btw, if you mount the switches in the cigarette lighter cubby, you're probably going to have to use the small plastic rocker style switches to fit four in there.

speaking of that switch in the door, one of the donor cars i pulled a door pannel off for my old car had a precision sound switch right above the door.  perhaps that is what is in the picture?  What was the percision sound option for the 88-90 GPs?

Also, as for switches, I've also put some in the little ash tray place in the center console.  It takes some fabrication to get them to fit correctly though, they don't fit snuggly by just putting them in there.

That's pretty neat, I've never seen the "precision sound" switch in any GP's..can't realy tell what it is in the TGP picture...but if other factory cars had that, then that is probably what it was.  I need to look through my GP stuff and see if I can find anything about that audio option.
