Quote from: 1trucavalieroh shitttt! I bought a 89 ste non turbo 4dr center console with 5 speed shifter, cables etc.....  I hope its not that different from my 90 model.  I kind like having the fake navigaition glowing in the center.  Is it that different?  It won't be here until next wed so I have to wait

well umm the ste Didnt become a GP untill 1990 so if its a STE GP console should fit.

BTY I also have a 5spd console for sale. from a 90 SE 5spd with the DIC mount too...

its costs about $8 to ship so if anyone wants it I'll take $20 shipped for it...
there are 2-4 small pinholes in the boot

I wonder if a 5-speed plate would work on an automatic? I may be interested Jeorge.

FWIW, the 5 speed and automatic consoles are interchangeable. However, the Shift Indicator Plate on the automatics and the shift boot on the manuals is kinda glued inplace. With that exception, they are interchangeable. Its possible to pop out the shift boot/shift indicator and pop in the right part, you just have to apply a little glue to the tabs where it connects.

What I meant was , will the boot on the 5-speed plate go over the auto shifter. And will it go forward and back far enough to reach 1 thru park?

I have a shift knob out of a newer GTP with the switch on the side. Having the boot would hide the wires.

well thats what the guy said he said!  I initially called a junkyard in pa because i saw they had a clutch master cyl for an 88 gp,  i asked if he had any more parts off of it, a he told me he had the shifter, cables, clutch master, slave, clutch pedal, brake pedal, motor mounts, and clutch switch which i ordered.  I asked what kind of car it was and he said it was a 4dr 88 5-speed grand prix.  I didn't see the actual veghicle so I don't know if he is wrong or not but i got the stuff so it really doesn't matter to me :D
