I got some wiring diagrams from school today, and got a free toggle from work, so I figured I'd see what I could come up with.

A lot of people I talked to, said that I would need a new relay, and that I would have to re-wire the entire fan(s) setup, and a bunch of other stuff like that.  Well... after a bit of investigation, and trial and error, I came up with a fix.  :)  The end result... a fan that I can manually switch on.  In addition, if I have my toggle 'off,' the fan will still come on at the factory fan-on setpoints.  :)  Took me about 35 minutes from start to finishing cleaning up.  :)

Tools needed:
Wire Cutter
25' wire
1 toggle switch
various wire-connectors ( a soldering iron is better )

Instructions...
1.  Remove passenger side brace.
2.  Remove black 'splash cover' that covers where the ECM is located.  You should be able to see the ECM now.
3.  Remove cover from the Electrical center.
4.  Coming out of the primary cooling fan relay, there will be a green wire with a white stripe.  You need to figure out how to wire one side of your toggle into this wire.  For mine... I cut off the insulation for 3/4", wrapped the wire off of the toggle around the green/whitestripe wire.  I then got my grandfathers soldering iron and soldered a nice connection.  I then broke out the electrical tape, and made sure I covered my bases well there.
5.  Locate a good place to ground the other end of your toggle, and make that connection.
6. Flip the toggle and enjoy the sound of your fan.  Haha... I've had 3 people ask me tonight if I had a turbo timer.

Oh yeah... one hint... do a good job locating your toggle in your car.  Make sure you cut enough wire the FIRST time, so you can run it from your toggle in your car, clear up to the green/whitestripe wire.  Same goes for the ground you make.

Later guys,
Zach  <- Now has a TGP that stays cool!  :)

ps... bla bla legal crap bla bla... this was experimental on my end, and I, in now way, can/will take responsibility if YOU mess something up with YOUR car.  This experiment worked very well for me.  It may or may not work for you.  If you have any questions, feel free to email me at zachshaferz@hotmail.com.  :)

pss... this mod was completed on my primary fan.  sometime this week, I'm going to do the secondary also.
