1G Eclipse BOV Installed.. Ricer post..

Well i finally got off my ass and installed my 1st gen BOV. I put it on the upper charge pipe near the strut tower.

It Works nicly.... BUT i was hoping for a bit more sound. it sounds like a stock Eclipse... I like the Wastegate Fluttering sound better, MUCH louder and sounded funny.

But on the other hand i have heard that not having a BOV can cause back spool on the turbo and shorten its life.. I figure 150,000 miles on the stock turbo needs all the help it can get.

isn't that fluttering noise compressor surge?  

if you want something louder, try the Turbo XS Type-H RFL.  my brother uses that on his Omni GLH Turbo and it's freakin loud! :shock:

i like my 1g DSM, except that it has a long drawn out "phsssssssstt" @ part throttle....it gets kinda annoying sometimes.

First of all, yes, it's air moving the WRONG way across some compressor fins, and secondly, PART Throttle?  What's part throttle?   :D
