top engine cleaner

I'm going to the strip this weekend.  I am thinking of a few things to get ready.  Is it a good idea to use top engine cleaner now?  Will it have any effect on the plugs (replaced in April)?  Car seems to be running fine.

I know I need to change the oil afterwards.  I also thought I read that it's not good for turbo cars, because of the lower CR.  Looking for input, thanks.

If it ain't broke..don't fix it  :)  . But atleast wait.
