6 speakers with aftermarket Stereo....

I figured I would post and update here....
We installed the stereo over the weekend, while its not flush mounted obviously, it still looks pretty good and with the colors set, it fits right in there color wise and night and is definitely a nice piece :) We also ran the 4-gauge power wire along with the stereo power wire, found a nice location for that drilled hole, we also ran the RCAs and what not for the sub amp that will be going in here soon.....
It sounds good all 6 speakers are on and working.......*read later* and the stereo whining is GONE !!!!!!  :!: :D  :shock:  :D  YES!!!! Its awesome.... :)


but yeah, it sounds good up until the back amp kills and no more back speakers, however, we broke out the meter and figured out the Power Antenna AND the Remote turn on wire are both losing voltage and droping to ~6 volts when the radio is turned up, it drains the volts and it eventually turns off, however, I turned off the integrated power amp in the stereo so only the back speakers were running *off the amp* and it never dropped voltage and stayed on, I think we crossed some wires on the front speaker wiring and it is causing a drain, I'm taking it apart tomorrow and looking at that, plus the beater antenna wires that suck hard core...we have a replacement to try and hopefully we will be in good shape

my factory radio doesn't work either, after about 10 seconds of being on it makes a buzzing noise, is that the radio or is that the amp. i want to replace it with a stock radio so i can use the steering wheel comtrols. and i can't take not having a radio anymore, what should i do?

Get an aftermarket radio and just get the device thing so you can still use your stereo wheel controls, they do make such a thing....
