In other words, the functional ones are in use, and not for sale.  The whole point of my thread was to illustrate how difficult it would be to find a functioning one.

Rare is correct. These units are getting old. And have reached the "sell by" date along time ago. I have 2 of them myself. One works flawlessly, except it doesnt like to give cds back. The other unit, only the radio works. One has already been rebuilt by GM, I got it last year out of a bonneville. The other unit I payed 56 bucks for on ebay. You probly are not going to find a working one, and if you do, it aint gonna work for long. So find one that needs to be repaired, buy it cheap, and get'er fixed. Alot more reliability that way..
