Intake cooler??

I was putzing around under the TGP today and came across something.   Along the stock OE Intake plumbing, there is a cooler of somesort underneath it.  Just curious as to what this is?

Could you be more specific about the area in which you were looking when you seen this "cooler?" Being that you said "under," you may be referring to the transaxle cooler located in the front passenger side of the car(it's right behind the bumper there and has ducting material running to the front valence area to scoop air to help keep it cool).
