Bought a DEI Viper 791XV Responder last summer on ebay NIB and just got it installed (last 3 nights workin on it)

-Keyless entry
-Ignition Door Locks (lock and unlock)
-Trunk pop with fob
-Hood Sensor
-Door Sensors
-Bump/Shock Sensor
-Trunk Sensor
-Starter Kill
-TURBO TIMER  :icon_twisted:
usual alarm BS

Car starter works fine with the manual trans in "N" but not very well in Gear

gonna rig a switch up on the shifter to prevent in gear starts a bit better...

alarm works awesome and remote fob works as a pager to tell ya whats going on.  :icon_cool:

added a few extras that are kinda cool:

-Power Window Module, which allows window control with Remote Fob and Express feature up/down for both driver and passenger windows.

-Sunroof Module, same kinda deal WHEN i get my sunroof, i can open and close it with the remote  ;)

-Battery Back up system, when the battery + is tampered with the back up sounds the system alarm.

-Hidden Keypad (like the movie The Transporter) which can control the system while in the car using the basic features.

overall im happy with it and was alot of work to install.....my first one and all.... :icon_redface:

makes me feel safe  :icon_mrgreen:

yeah thats not particulalry safe with a manual shift car.. that would suck to have someone accidentally hit the button and watch it go jumping through the garage door, or even worse through the garage.   :icon_biggrin:

Let us know how the system works with the alarm and everything, I am thinking of getting one for myself sometime.

Peace of mind.  Nice. ;)

It doesn't run anymore.

Well its a Combo all in one unit so works very well together, disarms the shock sensor and the starter kill when you activate the car starter but keeps the hood pin, trunk pin, door pins active for security.

so if it running and any of those pins are activated he car shuts down, alarm sounds and the ignition and starter kill are activated.

all works very well!!  :icon_biggrin:

Yes as for that remote starter with manual trans issue, the remote button needs 2 pulses (hit the button twice) and hold it. i programed it that way to try to avoid accidental button mishaps.

Currently i have a toggle switch under the dash that kills the remote starter (by law in Ontario you need one) totally when your working under the hood or servicing the car to ensure it will not start.

So i don't have it activated right now anyway, and like i mentioned im gonna mod the shifter so it will only start in "N" center position and with the parking Brake activated.

for automatic trans guys this system is the top of the line and you don't have to worry about he Starter in gear issue i have to work on....
