Ok...with a new fuel pump still no start. I have spark but it is very erratic.

Where is the crank position sensor? That is next.

BTW if anyone didn't know...I swapped the ICM and coils from the TSTE and no difference. New fuel pump and filter...tons of pressure at the rail.

other side of the engine block....firewall side.

easy to get at if you have a 5-speed  ;) jack the car up and slide under, its the only plug and gizmo on the lower block.

good luck and use some jack stands... :icon_mrgreen:

OK...going to look see. Jack stands are our friends!!

yeah I'm sure you know be careful that thing doesnt break when you take it out.  There is the knock sensor back there but the CPS slides into the block.  7 or 8 mm bolt holds it down.  I busted mine but got it out by prying gently with a screwdriver. Hope thats the problem.

Well I went out to the car this morning and tried a couple of things Jud suggested. Timing light showed spark at #1 to be right on the timing mark. Jud you scared me with the timing chain comment! :icon_eek:

So I had the wife crank her a couple of more times while I "purged" the fuel line at the schrader...BIG AIR POCKET! Got a steady stream and a shit load of fuel everywhere (need to make a line for pressure testing!) and on the last time I told the wife to crank her she fired right up!
So of course the wife took credit for getting it running again! :icon_rolleyes:

So all is well in TGP country. Need to get my injectors back and go to the track on Wednesday.

Thanks all for the comments and suggestions! :icon_cool:

:laugh:Well I knew it wasn?t your CS and wanted you to know what to expect when you put the light on. Didn?t mean to scare you but a jumped or broken chain was a possibility. ;)

Glad all is well.

I had heard a long time ago that your two little ones fix your cars!  ;)

I was going to bore the FPR...but figured that would be the next step when I start to upgrade the injectors. Was looking at some of the 3800 fuel rails I keep seeing on ebay to look at fitment and upgradability. Baby steps for upgrades. ;) :icon_cool:

What do you mean Dave that an adjustable FPR is not an option that came with the car or don't use one :icon_question:
