Somebody should have called that guy in the red car on his cell phone to let him know the light was green and he could go. I think he was afraid of getting a ticket going throug a red light. :icon_rolleyes: Some pit crew, wouldn't even help him out.

looks like that was from the SDAC-16/SRT Nats in Topeka last weekend.  i was planning on going there with my brother in his Spirit R/T but his transmission got here way too late.  looks like Reeves Omni there....badass!

from what i've heard the old-school TD SDAC guys dominated over the SRTs :icon_biggrin:  i think the fastest car was Stephane's TIII powered Charger - 8.13@180mph.  that's gotta be a helluva ride; wish i coulda seen it.

2000 Audi A6 Quattro - 2.7T/6-speed
1998 Buick Regal GS - L67/HM-4T65E

Well hell you only need what...250 HP in a 1200 lbs Omni to run 10's anyway right? ;) Be very careful of the 3 MPH crosswind when you run past the bleachers...the omni will blow over!! :icon_eek:

Actually, the Omni GLH weight 2550 lbs stock; don't know what Reeves Omni weighs now though. I believe he does have well over 400 HP at the wheels but it's been a long time since I've read up on his setup.

Here is a link to some dyno charts. You'll have to scroll down to see James Reeves' Omni GLH.

Very true; spinning the wheels is fun but can be annoying when it's 'go' time. My Omni made 270 ft/lbs with 14 psi of boost at 3200 RPM. Only 198 wheel horsepower though (4600 RPM)...lots of low RPM torque but the SOHC head runs out of steam up top without major port work. I took my Omni to the dragstrip after it was dynoed and could only manage 2.5 second 60ft times spinning the tires well into 3rd gear.
