last night me and my dad were trying to charge the a\c. he looked down by the pmIII and there was a plug undone. we pluged it back in I cranked it up and the pump started pumping. now I have brakes. the only thing is when I hit the pedal the pump turns on for a second. if i keep holding the pedal it doesn't come back on. but every time I hit it it does for a sec.

it that normal? what could it be?
do I need to bleed the brakes?

thanks

This is usually a symptom of the gas charge in your brake system being low in pressure.  You should be able to drive it fine but adding pressure should make it cycle much less.  I am not the expert on the subject so if anybody wants to expound......... forgot which gas type it is, cost, etc.

Hmm, I guess we have to start from square one on every brake problem! Just a simple plug was the cause of the problem.

Have you checked out the website yet?

The gas charge is not refillable. THe cylinder (called the accumulator) must be replaced. I've heard these are getting expensive from GM, and there is an aftermarket company from Germany that sells them but I don't have any contact information as of yet.

I've been to the website. I figured it was the pressure switch or the accumulater. I just didn't know which.  My computer keeps saying stp lamp
but no other problems.  is that the same problem that it talks about on the website?

thanx
