Hey i did the 3100 topend swap but my car is still a piece of crap.  the motor is new and the cars back together but it doesnt want to run right.  Is it true these stock turbos are too small to run 30 lb injectors on this motor?  The car acts up all day and feels like its just getting retarded when the boost starts to kick in.  You really have to step on it for a while to force it to make boost, and its still slow as hell.   Besides that, it leaks oil, and the charge pipe im using is crap , everytime it pops off, my computer blacks the plugs right out ,  car wont drive without charge pipe.  I have to datalog the computer but in reality this car sucks the life outa me and it was faster when it was stock with broken piston rings,  2,000 dollars later you think id be pissed?   Tuning is not my thing, i was kinda hoping this car wouldnt be such a pain in the a**.

why are you running 30 lb injectors??? Is there anything inside the motor that would warrant such large injectors? If it's just the stock motor, then do yourself a favor and change them out to lower ones...Ford C302 Yellow Tops are 22 (right?) lbs/hr, and many TGP enthusiasts swear by them, myself included. Or spend as much getting a stock set. But I would have to say that 30 lb injectors are a waste without any major mods.

Someone care to add?

I don't know the # rating of the 302 injectors, or the stock ones to be honest, but I will say this, I had the 302 injectors recommended when I was having my stalling problem, and I will say this much about them, they do seem very nice, the car is for the most part very responsive now, still starts a little rough, but I think that is another problem that I am trying to work out. But ya, I would definatly recommend them as well as they have worked well for me.

Ford C302 injectors are 22 lb/hour.  I'm running them in my TGP and it runs fantastic.

Ok this is strange, now the car is finally rippin!!... turns out i had 2 huge boost leaks and needed new plugs. Grinders, you were RIGHT! Now its finally running like a bad as$ car... i suddenly realize why i put all this $$ into it... it was suppose to be sick and now im finally convinced... Everyone knows how much work and time is involved to complete these cars...  especially when you get them stock and have to fix EVERYTHING...  why not put a newer top end on it to increase power?  Its not like its going to take the value away... its a dam 89-90 grand prix!

Oh BELIEVE me I completely understand...if you ever get a chance, look up the Grinders 18 Rolling Learning Thread in Problems and Solutions, and you will see what all was done. I'm glad to see you got it running! :icon_cool:
