Hey guys,

I have some questions about tuning.  I'll be starting to datalog a little bit within the next few weeks before I put the Cutlass away for the winter and I wanted to get things rolling to try and learn some things on tuning!

I do have Moates emulator, burner, tunerpro, aldl cables etc.  I got everything Dave used to tune his car and sell a few chips.

I have a few easy questions just to get me started, which I can't seem to find answers too.

1. I know you need to have a file on the hardrive to begin making adjustments to, load to emulator, see how it works, etc etc....but I never got the files from Dave, haven't asked him if he still has them, but I will.  IF he doesn't, can I transfer the code and data from the emulator to my computer and make changes off that? or do I need to have the file on the computer than upload to the emulator?

2. Concerns my WBO2. It's LC-1 WBO2.  I know I need to do a free air calibration.  It is my understanding I do not need to do this everytime I run the car correct?  I thought I read somewhere, that you do need to do a free air calcs every now and then to re-set the controller, but not everytime it's run?

2 Easy questions to get me started.  I'm pretty sure the answer to 2 about the WBO2 but I have no clue about the first one.

Any help is appreciated!

if you already have a bin saved on the emulator, you can pull it from the emulator and save to your computer.

the LC-1 doesnt need to be calibrated all the time, just the first time. you can re-calibrated every now and then to ensure accuracy

THANK YOU! I do have a bin saved on the emulator.  I am glad I can get that .bin and save it to my computer!!

I did figure out the LC-1 as well and the calibration.  Thanks for confirming it tho too!

I do need to thank you for the write up you did on how to tune TGP code...it will be very very helpful in the near future!
