QuasiMofo

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is John, I am a VW service writer in Lansing, Mi. I have been in the automotive service industry since 1986 and have worked at every job in the field as you could imagine:
Tire tech, service tech, service writer, service manager, parts counter, parts manager, body shop estimator... Yup been there. I have a bad case of automotive ADHD, I like oddball and orphaned piles of junk. I am a reader and contributor to Grassroots Motorsports magazine and competed in the GRM $2002 and $2003 Challenges.

I purchased a well worn 1990 TGP from a local guy on this board, we will see how well it turns out. My plans are to get it back to proper running condition and then decide if I want to keep it as a driver or take the drivetrain out and build a Fiero with it.

Don't be scared... I never finish a project ;)

You might as well just roll that poor GP down the hill and let it crash into a tree if your gonna put it in a fiero.  ; ) But anyways, Welcome to the forum!

Lansing eh?
That swapping stuff into a Fiero is a bad idea.  Not only will it not fit without much fabrication, the point of doing it will be asinine when all you need to do is just swap in a 3800 engine or turbo the 2.8 in there as its nearly the same engine as the 3.1.
