Not a bad deal...  I bought a brand new 282 for a quad 4 H.O. and put the bell housing off of the trans you sold me for the 3.1 for about the same price, but I didn't half to pay labor for the swap...  ;)   I'm thinkin the closer gear ratios in the quad 4 trans will help lower my quarter mile times...  We will see next year   :icon_mrgreen:

Excellent Adam!  I'll look forward to some quarter mile times!  I have been doing some thinking about this whole FWD drag racing experience I have had and came to the following conclusions:

- Drag radials are a no no with wheel hop.  Why?  Simple they are a radial and have too stiff a sidewall, although they stick when they hop I think it is way worse a shock on the drivetrain than if you were running a street tire for this reason.

- A nice set of ET streets or Drag radials with a nice tall sidewall would be best for preserving axles and intermediate shafts.  Wrinkle walls will absorb the shock a lot better from wheel hop thus preserving the drivetrain and preventing axle breakage.  I would really like to see someone take a 5 speed car to the track with some tires like this.  I'm sure you have a set laying around that will fit Adam ;)

I wouldnt trust the tranny as far as I could throw it based on the pics. Looks like some kid owned the car, and was ricing it. So that means a whole bunch of neutral drops, etc..

Sucks on that Maroon TSTE, that car was repairable to me. Of course I have a thing for them... I WANT ONE!!!
