I often thought of using the 3bar $59 code on my TGP many, many, many, many years ago. I agree it's way to much drama to get right but it can be done... I know that for a FACT...  :icon_twisted:   Some old school guys showed me the way...   :icon_mrgreen:
What you have posted above is lees than a 4th of what will be required to make the next step...  :icon_eek:

Can't you just use a 3 bar map with the 2 bar code and start tunning.  Computer will "think" you're at 15 psi, but you'll be at 30...

I'd like to try that one day.  But I'll stay at 13 psi a few more years, so until then I won't be trying it.

You would lose some resolution, but IMHO it can run smoothly.  I've run a 2BAR on a N/A application and it runs very well.

I am not sure if that would work good, I have never tried it. The 2bar code can handle 20psi, been there done that. With this cooler weather in NC, I have been hitting 16-18psi with the stock turbo.
To make the 3bar stuff work perfectly you will need to disassemble the 2bar $58 code and the $59 3bar code to see the changes they made..

Thought I'd update this, but my car now idles and runs on Code59 !  And tunning just got a WHOLE lot easier.

No more messing with the lame 8F files that don't make any sense and wierd boost cuts for no reason, 5 spd patches that are junk, lol ect......

More details here :

It was the work of slowolej  and SixShooter that got everything going I didn't do much of anything really.

WB tunning, Autotune, it's pretty much nothing short of awsome.

If you know and understand 8f it is a awesome code that is easy to manipulate..   ;)
I have used the $59 3 bar code on many GN's its pretty cool but it has it's limits just like 8f..   :icon_frown:

True enough, once you get the BPC dialed in close, it tunes quite easily, BUT,  I know Autotune and Wideband closed loop control would have saved me ALOT of time in perfecting my chip.  I'm happy with the 8F though, I just think this will be much easier to tune.  I guess I'll find out.

Just idle.  I had a crappy 2 bar resistor mod thing going to fake a 3 bar, I didn't want to start my tunning on that, then have te -retune later.  I also want to get Ford Green tops for tunning.  My red tops aren't cutting it.

It would run on this setup I'm sure just by how it idles...  I gave it throttle too and no stumbles, ect.  How long was yours running on Code59 ?
