Hello everyone I just purchased a 1990 Black TGP a couple of weeks ago and was told by the past owner of this wedsite.  There are a few issues with the car mainly the braking system.  I've read a few of the propblems people have been having with this system and was wondering if anyone has converted their TGP to the vacuum system and if so could please list what parts are involved and where to obtain them.  I have always liked the body style of the TGP and finally was able to purchase one for really cheap.  A lot of work will be involved, but it will be well worth it when its done.  I thank you all in advance for your help in this matter.  Take care.

Hopefully you'll see that I split your post from that other topic and put it here....

That being said, a vacuum brake swap is pretty involved if you do it as it was from the factory. Here are a few posts with some information about the swap. The first one should cover most of the parts that are needed. The others have some info in them as well(the 2nd link below has some pictures of what's necessary to complete the install like the factory did....the last post in that thread discusses a possible method to swap to the vacuum brakes without having to remove so much stuff).

Yeah, I just couldn't figure out a way to work in the one member who claimed that adding a valance to his lightbulb kept it from overheating...
