Remove and replace torque convertor

Has anyone gone through this procedure before, as my transmission is not making any grinding noises motor is running strong, seems like maybe the torque convertor isnt linking up with the tranny anymore?

I'd done it to other makes where the spines on the stator striped inside the converter. I just clean up the stator shaft on the trans, flush the lines on the cooler, and take out the torque converter solenoid and check for debris, if non, just put it back together, if yes check valvebody for debris.
